Premium MMS Coverage - UK
mBILL has two Bulk MMS sending services; Bulk Operator MMS and Bulk Direct MMS (with Bulk Operator MMS):
Bulk Operator MMS Service
Bulk Operator MMS allows content providers to send MMS messages to end users through the mBILL direct connections to mobile operators' Multimedia Messaging Service Centres (MMSCs), with the multimedia content appearing as an MMS on the end user's handset. The Bulk Operator MMS service can be used to send MMS messages to end users on all the main UK networks.
Bulk Direct MMS (with Bulk Operator MMS) Service
The end user receives an MMS message on their handset that in effect contains a URL pointing to the mBILL Virtual MMSC where the multimedia content is downloaded from. The end user bears the cost of downloading the multimedia content. The Bulk Direct MMS service can be used to send MMS messages to end users on Vodafone, O2 and T-Mobile networks. Direct MMS is not currently available with Orange or 3, who block this on their networks.
